  Went to this doctor because a friend told my wife about him back in January. Was needing a routine checkup so I can utilize my insurance since I have LASIK. Doctor was nice and I do agree with other reviews they were friendly and professional. However, he has been trying to bill me for charges he never informed me of. I just called into his office and spoke to Dr. Pope himself. I explained it was not the dollar amount, but rather how he stated that I needed to stop back by for a follow up that I really didn't need. Never in that conversation did he hint or mention this was not a normal procedure he was going to perform. If he had taken the time to explain in detail as he did when I just spoke to him as I pushed him for answers, maybe in all his 20 years of experience one patient wouldn't have to call in and share with him why he should be more careful in how he tries to up sell his services. I was given some really good advice with my insurance provider in the past. Don't be afraid to fire your doctor!
